What We Support During Development

Developing footwear collections requires continuous adjustments across materials, fitting, construction, and finishing details. At JINXIU, we support buyers throughout the entire pre-production development process.

Tech Pack Interpretation and Feasibility Review

We review tech packs, sketches, reference images, and product ideas to understand development direction, category requirements, and manufacturing feasibility.

Last and Shape Development

We support a practical review of the last direction, silhouette, pitch, and overall category balance before sample execution proceeds. If we finger out some hidden risk in the design, we will also share it with the buyer.

All Material Sourcing

Our team supports sourcing for leather, lining, outsole materials, hardware, and packaging components according to your target positioning and development budget, and we can confirm them by images, videos, or by sending them to your office for inspection.

Fit Testing and Structural Review

During the prototype stage, we review heel balance, fitting consistency, wearing comfort, and structural stability before moving into production adjustments. We will send you updates automatically, and you can check them and send us feedback.

Development Process, From Concept to Approved Sample

We keep the sample development process transparent so buyers can clearly understand each stage before bulk production begins. Also, we accept the changes to the finished samples received by the buyer after the testing.

1. Technical Review

We review your design direction, construction requirements, target price range, and material expectations before confirming the development plan.

2. Material Sourcing and Last Preparation

We source suitable reference materials and then send them to you for your choice, making the test last to match your requirements.

3. First Prototype Development

The 1st test sample is mainly used to evaluate silhouette proportions, heel pitch, outsole matching, and overall structural balance.

4. Sample Revision and Adjustment

After receiving your feedback on the sample buyer received, we will revise fitting details, material selections, proportions, or finishing details before the next sample round. The new sample may take some rounds, depending on the design details.
We will talk to the buyer if we ship the revised sample to the buyer again.

5. PPS Confirmation and Bulk Production

The specific pre-production sample (PPS) is developed using confirmed materials, colors, logos, and packaging details as the final production reference.
After PPS confirmation, approved samples can serve as the standard for bulk footwear manufacturing.

Common Challenges During Development

Making a high-quality shoe actually requires a significant investment of resources; it’s not as simple and easy as some factories claim, especially for designs with special features and materials.

Footwear development often involves adjustments during fitting, material testing, and construction balancing. Instead of avoiding these issues, we work through them during the sample stage before mass production begins.

Heel Balance and Pitch Adjustment

Even small heel height changes may affect balance and comfort. We review heel pitch and outsole structure times carefully during development.

Fitting Inconsistencies

Different materials can change the appearance, softness, support, and manufacturability of the same design during the sample stage.

Unexpected Force Majeure

Routine government inspections, maintenance of power lines within industrial parks; sudden machinery malfunctions; regulatory restrictions implemented for major sporting events; adverse weather conditions (extreme heat, flooding)—including instances where extreme weather triggers government-imposed restrictions on industrial power consumption; disruptions occurring within the supplier chain.

Material Replacement Issues

Certain leathers or accessories may become unavailable during sourcing/bulk production. In such cases, we discuss replacement options or customize the materials before moving forward. Customization usually requires an MOQ and a longer delivery time. What is worse, it may change the sample fee.
